20 hr Immersion for Yoga Teachers and dedicated practitioners

This immersion focus on how you can improve and elevate your yoga practice and your students elevation of health and awareness. We delve deeper into the science of Mantra yoga, the implementation of mudras as a mean to move and improve energy and also the science behind Chanting and Sanskrit.

MUDRAS – The power of fine motor unit control.  It has been proved that regular practise of mudras not only contribute to one’s overall good health but can be used as a preventive measure as well. Our hands define our karma and fingers being the power points, are a link between individual Pranic force and universal cosmic energy.

The position of our hands has the ability to influence energy of our physical, emotional and spiritual body. Mudras help to link the brain to the body, soothe pain, stimulate endorphins, change the mood and increase our vitality.

MANTRAS – The power of words. Using mantras in a meditation has been seen to lower the level of distraction in your brain and thoughts. Words have the power to change our reality, the power to change the way we think and by using mantras on a daily basis we can reprogram our subconscious mind.
A mantra can be a word or phrase or a sound that is repeated several times.  They are used to help you connect with your breath, feel the energy around you and to provide support when needed. Saying words over and over again with your breath can help you feel calm and in control, a big step to building a powerful mindset.
Mantras have been used for thousands of years and have history in the ancient Hindu language of Sanskrit.  However you don’t need to use any ancient Sanskrit if this isn’t your thing.  You can choose whatever word or phrase feels right to you, that resonates and makes you feel calm. The Sanskrit word, Mantra means ‘man’ – “mind” and ‘tra’ means “tool or instrument,” so, its a tool to transport the mind to a place of stillness and calm.

CHANTING- The power of sounds and resonance. Often when we sit down to meditate our mind jumps from thought to thought, making it difficult to focus our attention. Chanting distracts the mind from frivolous thoughts, helping to anchor the mind in concentration. The vibration from chanting releases chemical hormones that balance the body and have healing effects.

Chanting mantras is an effective way to release emotion. Emotion that is not accepted represents an aspect of the self that is being judged. This emotion causes sensations in the body that you either crave or have an aversion to. Either way, you are reacting and reinforcing the pattern. Chanting is an excellent way to let go of the reaction to the sensation through the throat and heart chakras; in essence, releasing the emotion through self-expression. Here you will learn the foundation of chanting, dive deeper into the science of sanskrit and learn some of the most profound chants and why they matter so much to us yogis and our practice as well as a healing trait.
