Handle stress
Daily recovery is incredibly important to our capacity to handle stress. Yoga, meditation, and relaxation are fantastic tools when we need to recover and maintain balance.
What is stress?
Every day we face a certain degree of stress. Stress itself doesn’t isn't a problem though, some stress is needed to stay focused and effective. The problem is when we are in a state of stress durting a longer period of time. Our body and mind needs time to recover but if we are constantly feeling stressed and don't do anything about this, then stress becomes a problem.
What happens inside the body?
The body’s answer to stress is to secrete a hormone called cortisol which increases our energy levels and makes us prepared to protect ourselves from danger. Cortisol affects many of the body’s functions such as the immune system, blood pressure, and blood sugar. There's a permanent increase in the level of cortisol when stress is sustained over a long period of time which in turn makes us ill.

Stress symptoms
Many don’t take stress symptoms seriously before it's too late and they become ill. Stress can in the long run lead to health problems such as depression, exhaustion, headaches, stomach aches, absentmindedness, indecision, mood swings, metabolic disorders and a feeling of tiredness and emptiness.
