About this session
Breathing meditations can help stabilize the body and mind. In that awareness and focus, your inner wisdom can get a chance to expand. This is a four-part breathing with a pause and lengthening of the out-breath. Long exhales can help to soften and calm yourself. In essence, the mudra represents the expansion of wisdom and has become synonymous with a peaceful heart and mind.
Amir starts to explain the philosophy behind the mudra and how to practice it, after that you do the practice together. It's recommended to have some experience with breathing practices. If you are new to this, be mindful and listen to yourself.
There is also a dynamic version of this practice, Dynamic breath meditation. You can learn more about the philosophy of mudras in this blog post (in Swedish): Mudra – vad är det och hur fungerar det?.
