About ISHTA Yoga
ISHTA Yoga is more of an approach than a yoga style. It is an approach to practice yoga based on a holistic perspective that combines philosophy, asana and lifestyle - aligning with the needs of the individual. ”ISHTA” means individual, and Integrated Science of Hatha, Tantra & Ayurveda. Understanding more about these three sciences, we can develop and adjust yoga based on our needs.
Hatha, Tantra & Ayurveda
Hatha is the physical part of ISHTA yoga, the poses that vitalize and strengthens the physical body. Tantra is the philosophical part focusing on expanding our conscious and explore the subtle aspects. Ayurveda is the third part of ISHTA yoga and is a healing system originating in India and focusing on balancing our constitution to bring us to optimal health and well-being.
