Breathwork: Caretaking the Nervous System đ
With social media and global news at our fingertips and the amount of time we spend on screens and absorbing information in general (let alone our own personal peaks and valleys in life), our nervous system is bound to feel overwhelmed, hijacked, contracted or in a state of disarray.
If there is one thing that I know breathwork is able to support us with, itâs with helping us to ground our nervous system so that we can face lifeâs challenges with less reactivity (or dissociating) and more stability. The practice offers us a space to both process and purge as well as a space to land into a more meditative, neutral and regenerative state.Â
Life challenges are a necessary part of our personal and collective evolution and breathwork is the best medicine I know to help us prepare to meet and move through them.
About Breathwork
This active technique allows you to develop a relationship with your breath and connect you with your home frequency and your body to clear stagnant energy while helping facilitate a release of strong emotions and liberate mental patterns, tension, and limiting beliefs.
It's a healing modality that enables you to take care of yourself and access your intuition and creativity in profound ways while encouraging your heart to open to honest self-love, self-healing, and self-acceptance. It has been the most transformational tool on my healing journey.Â
If possible for your body, the practice is best done laying down (the floor, the couch, a yoga mat, etc. are all perfect solutions). However you set yourself up, please create a comfortable space where you will not be interrupted during our time together.Â
