How does it work?
The purpose of Kundalini Yoga is to develop full awareness and expand the consciousness by releasing Kundalini energy from the base of your spine. Letting go of blockages allows the energy, prana, can freely flow through the body.
The Kundalini Yoga class begins with chanting a mantra. It is followed by a sequence of set poses, also knows as kriyas, that are performed with calm or quick repetitive movements. The movements are combined with breathing techniques enhancing the impact of the movements. The class ends with relaxation and meditation.
