About this session
A tutorial video going through the technique and alignment cues for Supta Kurmasana (turtle pose) so that you can adjust your practice depending on your level of experience or possible limitations in the body.
Supta Kurmasana is the most complex posture of the Ashtanga primary series. This deep forward-bending posture requires deep opening of the hips, hamstrings and the back, so remember that this is one of the postures that will take some time to develop and it is important that you listen to your body.
This video belongs to the series Ashtanga Yoga Progression. Please explore Ashtanga Yoga Foundations and Ashtanga Yoga Essentials before embarking on this series.
