Lotta Ilona Bertilsson is an experienced yoga teacher who lives and works in Europe. During the summers, Lotta runs a yoga shala at Ekenäs mill in Sörmland and during the winters she works in various yoga studios in Europe, in recent years particularly in Spain.
It is Lotta's conviction that spiritual pursuits should be bright, easy and joyful. In her teaching, she strives to convey a feeling of meeting body, emotions and thoughts with respect, love and humility. It is her wish that the practice will be filled with joy, spontaneity and give challenges and inspiration.
'Yoga for me is a way to increase self-awareness. For me, yoga is about developing ourselves physically, mentally and spiritually so we can act with compassion and love. My desire is to live in a society that is good for everyone, a society where we live in peace and with respect for each other. That everyone has the same value and everyone is treated with respect and dignity. ' – Lotta Bertilsson
Education: Lotta has been actively studying yoga since 1992 and has been teaching full time since 1999. She has practiced Iyengar yoga, Hatha yoga and Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga. She has participated in courses and workshops with a large number of international teachers in Sweden and in other countries as well as spending time in India to deepen and develop her knowledge of physical movements, yoga history and yoga philosophy. The practice of physical positions in yoga gave Lotta an interest in the body's anatomy and how it works and as a part of this, she has trained as a massage therapist with a focus on healthcare at the Body Therapy School in Gran Canaria.
