Understanding Drishti in yoga

About this session
Drishti, also known as gazing point, is a part of the internal alignment (together with breath and Bandhas) to support the asana practice within Ashtanga yoga. Working with Drishtis cultivates a sense of concentration, focus and help us remain undistracted in the present moment.
In this lecture you will be introduced to the 9 types of Drishti and learn more about how to implement them into your practice.
This video belongs to the series Ashtanga Yoga Foundations. This is for you who are new to Ashtanga yoga. You will be provided with an introduction to the practice and its foundations. To deepen your practice, take part of Ashtanga Yoga Essentials and Ashtanga Yoga Progression – these series will deepen your understanding of Ashtanga yoga, working from the inside out.
