Sara is a yogi and movement fan, born and based in Sweden, with the world as her source of inspiration and workplace. When she's not working with research projects at Karolinska Institutet and The Centre for Psychiatry Research, she holds classes, workshops, lectures and educates on all possible places. Sara is part of the teaching team at the Nordic Yoga Institute, where she educates yoga teachers.
Sara about yoga: "Movement and health have always been an interest of mine for as long as I can remember. I have dance and equestrianism in my background, but I have always had a curious mind and always wanted to test pretty much everything. It is specifically curiosity and knowledge that gets a lot of attention in my own yoga and training practice as well as in my teaching. In my teaching, I focus heavily on healthy movement theory and mindfulness - how you can find the interaction between the inner and the outer. I want yoga to be for the individual and its conditions, not the other way around. Yoga is, and should be, empowering."
