"Your strength is greater than the sum of your muscles."
To exercise, it was mostly lifting weights and martial arts, was and still is something that gives me a lot of joy. When I started to practice yoga it offered me a more joyous relationship to myself but also more challenging. That's why I didn't only start to practice, I went all in and immediately set my goal on teaching. Teaching hockey specific yoga was a part of that ambition on early stage simply because of my fascination with the game.
“Facing it, always facing it, that’s the way to get through. Face it.” the quote by Joseph Conrad sums up the challenging part yoga has offered me. Many times it's easier to look away from things you don't want to see or accept, like signals from your own body for example. Yoga has offered and still offers me the tools to face what's going on and to continue on the road forwards. Those tools are something I live and love to offer.
