Grounding – Trauma Yoga
About this session
This practice is geared towards the development of grounding. Grounding means both sensing the body's contact with the ground and actively bringing the mind to the body as a mode to reduce stress, rumination, and fear.

About the instructor

Josefin Wikström has been bringing yoga and dance into the Swedish prisons since 2008. Josefin is responsible for developing the Prison Yoga Programs for Yogobe, she has been working as a full-time teacher focusing on yoga for trauma-exposed populations since 2003.

Heather Mason is the founder of The Minded Institute (in 2009), a leading yoga therapy training organization known for its focus on mental health and empowering yoga and health professionals to integrate yoga therapy into healthcare.
