Welcome to a workshop that addresses some of the most important things you should know about menopause – for example that it starts around the age of 40, that it affects us both physically and mentally, that the majority of women get symptoms and perhaps most importantly of all: that life is not over!
This particular workshop is focused on both physical and mental rest and will answer questions such as: Why is movement and rest so important during this period of a woman’s life? What can we do ourselves to feel as good as possible? Why are we so reluctant to seek help?
Monika gives a committed and vital lecture on menopause, and this will then be followed by a lovely Yoga Nidra led by Jennie Wadsten.
This workshop will be recorded – with only Jenny and Monika will be visible in the recording. Access is available for 7 days after the workshop date.
Monika Björn is a well-known training and yoga profile who has worked with exercise and health for over 25 years. She has a bachelor’s degree in sports science/psychology and a vast education in training & yoga behind her. Monika has authored three books and her latest book, “Strong 50+” (Norstedts) was released on August 10.
In recent years, Monika has made herself known as a committed menopause activist and runs, among other things, the Instagram account “Strong through menopause”, as well as an FB group with the same name. Since January 2019, she has trained over 400 Strong through menopause coaches to spread knowledge and awareness about menopause to as many women as possible.
Jennie Wadsten has over 20 years of experience working full time with yoga, and over the years, thousands of people have attended her popular yoga teacher training courses around the world. In recent years, menopause has gained an increased focus in her courses, and in particular how movement and rest can effect hormones and neurotransmitters.
Jennie has studied yoga in depth since 1997, including yoga therapy and psychology. During the workshop, Jennie will guide you through a Yoga Nidra class with a focus on recovery and balance.
