Instructor: Mira Moonya
Are you a female yoga teacher who wants to take your yoga practice and classes to the next level? Do you wish to deepen your connection with your feminine body and heart? Do you long to find more sensual enjoyment and flow in your yoga practice and in everyday life?
This training is for You, who wants to dive deep into your feminine essence and learn simple yet effective yogic and tantric practices that merge your sensuality, creativity, health and vitality, and who wish to apply that in your yoga profession.
In this over-masculinized society, many women have lost contact with their soft, sensual yet wild powerful feminine nature, their Shakti. In order to be independent we have had to push ourselves, and compare ourselves with men, competing with them in order to survive. In many cases this world has hardened us, and the sense of magic and trust has been lost.
Moonya Shakti Yoga connects you with the wild, intuitive, feminine energy within you. It brings a sensual mindful awareness into your yoga practice, letting your inner wisdom guide you through each asana, trusting the body’s inherent wisdom to move and heal through each movement. Shakti yoga feels natural, enjoyable and deeply nourishing where you want to do your practice every day without having to force yourself.
Shakti is the life force within, active in both men and women, so Shakti Yoga addresses the need in both men and women to get a connection with their vital creative life force and their feminine aspect within. Shakti Yoga can also be taught to mixed groups and male bodies and is very beneficial for both men and women. The language and focus points are then modified and altered.
This in-depth and experiential training is the first part of the MOONYA SHAKTI YOGA FACILITATORS TRAINING, which you can apply to if you wish to facilitate Moonya Shakti Yoga. You need to have a minimum of a 200 Yoga Teacher Training.
In Module 1 we will cover the basic building blocks of Moonya Shakti Yoga. The basic building blocks are breath, sound, movement, touch, stillness, energy work and self-inquiry. The movement part consists of asana, free organic movement and shaking.
After you have successfully completed Module 1 you can apply for the Module 2 Training, which will deepen your capacity and knowledge of the tantric principles, energy work, working with the moon cycle (menstrual), the elements and feminine tantric energy cultivation practices. After Module 1 you can start to facilitate foundational Shakti Yoga classes, if you have completed the whole training satisfactory, and after a personal interview with Mira.
Since 1993, Mira has been traveling around the world, living in alternative healing communities, studying in the fields of yoga, meditation, touch, tantra and movement. She facilitates workshops, retreats, trainings and sessions for women and men from all over the world. Mira is an experienced certified 500 Hour Yoga Teacher and have studied many forms of yoga. Her own unique style of yoga, SHAKTI YOGA, has been birthed from all of her studies and explorations and blends breath, sound, movement, touch, energetic work and devotion into the asana practice for the awakening of Shakti; the Life Force energy within.
Please note that this event is happening 2 times! You need to participate in both gatherings to receive a Moonya Shakti Yoga certificate. In between the two trainings there will be assignments to write and to practice.
Note: we will be a small group so if you are interested sign up ASAP!
Module 2 will be offered during 2 weekends in Stockholm in the end of 2022. Read more about Moonya Shakti Yoga, Mira and the training on www.dakini.se
Warm welcome to this sacred opportunity!
Much love, Mira
“Shakti Yoga allows and empower the deepest essence of myself to unfold, to flower, to shine, and take space. Mira guides the breath, body, mind and spirit to such a calm, pure and sweet place within me. From this silent place and state of mind, electric currents starts flashing through my physical being, cleaning and cleansing all that no longer serves me, letting go of everything that is holding me back from becoming the best version of myself. The creative power within me ignites as I come to clear understanding and I see new possibilities unfold like pictures in my soul. My brain ecstatic by wiring and firing new connections, and as the class comes to close, a new being, a new me is manifested. Together with sweet dear sisters, I allow a higher vibrating version of myself to be born. I am reborn. Shakti Yoga TT is a deep dive into the deepest part of our being. I've learned how to access it myself and how to lead others to reach the same place. If modern yoga is all about the physical posters and breath control, then Shakti Yoga adds so many more layers: relaxation, sweetness, freedom, energy flow, creativity, and connection to source and sisterhood. It makes me feel proud to be a woman. I've practiced yoga for more than 17 years and never have I been able to access such deep places inside myself and allow my true being to be expressed as in Shakti Yoga. I can't wait to start teaching Shakti Yoga to my dear and near ones and be part of the movement as we share it with the world. Adi Shakti”

”Shakti yoga is an amazing type of yoga which invites you to deeply connect with yourself; your body, mind, soul as a unity. Through breath work, free movement, shaking and stillness, you are invited to sound, move, feel... be. It is an empowering feeling to dive deep into yourself, to discover who you are really meant to be, and then be allowed to be you. Shed your layers and come out of your skin. This is a safe place and Mira is amazing at holding space for everyone. What moves me the most is the incredible sense of unity that comes from practicing Shakti Yoga, and the community that is being built off the mat. There is no guru; there is just us between the sky and the earth. And that is enough. Forever grateful for this training and the people I got to share it with. Ayubowan, namsté”

”Shakti yoga is about remembrance. Remembrance of connection. Relationship. Remembrance and acceptance of all the nuances. Of all the different tastes of life. Of all the different layers of you. Remembrance of the deepest love. Remembrance of your true essence. It’s like being reborn to something so pure. Raw. True. Free. I’m beyond grateful for Mira and my Shakti yoga sisters. I’m also so grateful for this wisdom and can’t wait to let it influence my own practice even more - and to hold space for other sisters to taste this practice of freedom!”
