About this session
This class is all about airing out the heart, ventilating the whole front body by opening up across the chest, and releasing tight muscle and connective tissue along the spine.
The primary purpose of backbending in yoga is to bring the full movement of breath and energy into the front of your body and counteract the repetitive postures of hunching over a keyboard or steering wheel. This is why backbends are often referred to as ‘heart openers’.
