Ulrica Liavor started as a professional musician and played the cello. Before the music, ballet was the greatest in life for her. At the age of 21, after 3 years at the soloist program in Gothenburg, severe fibromyalgia was confirmed and the music career ended. She studied philosophy and musicology and eventually landed in Stockholm to read music education and choir conducting. When Ulrica was 29 years of age, her body was exposed to a number of traumas (including whiplash, knee surgery and difficult labor) resulting in a total collapse and a life in total disability, constant pain and invalidated for 8-10 years. Slowly, she has built herself up by breathing and yoga and she became declared completely recovered about 10 years ago, at age 40.
Due to the fact that Ulrica for so many years was severly ill and that she still has a complex situation at home, she has mostly been educating herself from home, and from there HoliYoga has grown. Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training was the first one she went off to, which launched many good processes, but also thoughts that "there must be more yoga designed for people with pain or for those with an excessive drive to perform, yoga for those who want to explore themselves almost as psychotherapy but from chakra psychology instead ". 14 years ago, there was not much of that to find so she simply had to start exploring by herself.
Ulrica is not very interested in the great yoga scenes, she loves to work with the little things for those she educates as well as her students. She never tires of creating new classes, finding new conversations within the body through yoga. Intuition is the guide that leads both to the creation of yoga and to the ways that HoliYoga takes or do not take. To be prestigeless, allowing, trusting and taking responsibility for what the yoga puts in motion is important.
Ulrica has been teaching vocational choir conducting and voice yoga at University College of Music Education in Stockholm for 20 years and has for 13 years been running Shanti Yoga & Culture with teacher trainings in HoliYoga, VoiceYoga and HormonYoga in the pace that she can cope with.

She is educated in Kundalini yoga, Pregnancy yoga, Children's yoga, Infant massage and Sujok therapy and more, and has also practiced and studied many different yoga forms and body therapies such as Dance therapy, Anti-gymnastics and Qi Gong. Ulrica has conducted extensive self-study in western psychology, various forms of therapy and yoga. The most important education for her, however, is her own journey from constant pain to healthiness.
