Pål Dobrin's ongoing life journey is in the least unconventional; both on a personal as well as professional level. He has experiences from developmental work, fashion, emotional skills, international crisis management and peacebuilding, psychology, mobile and VR application development. Pål has experience of more than 20 years of meditation and has taught various contemplative traditions of wisdom, with an orientation towards such as Shamata, Vipassana and The Heart's Abilities.

Regardless of how one tries to understand and label Pål's personal journey and career, there is one common theme: An aspiration to finding ways to develop his own and other people's compassion.

It is this aspiration that has led his company Empaticus.com to what it is today: a platform for organizational development and social sustainability. They connect the staff's well-being and interactivity with the organization's overall vision and strategy. They use personal development connected to professional development through innovative ways to handle stress, increase creativity, interest and innovativeness.

Pål has among other things developed Project CARE for Chalmers CSE - Finding Joy at Work Through CARE, which includes practice in focus, emotional skills and compassion in the workplace. He is in charge as well as main teacher in Sweden for Medveten undervisning, a teacher training with some of the world's leading mindfulness and social and emotional learning experts, for school and non-profit associations.
