Chandra Bhedana – Practice

Chandra Bhedana, or Moon-piercing breath, is a calming and soothing breathing technique. According to the yoga tradition, is is said to be a cooling technique that can lower overheated pitta aspects in the body. Chandra means ”Moon” in sanskrit and refers to the left side of the body and left nostril. The opposite as Surya Bhedana technique-wise.
This class and technique can be great when you are under pressure and heated conditions. It can help to clear you mind and come back to focus. Chandra Bhedana can be a great way to wind down for the night.
