The Yoga

This immersion’s for those who already have a Vinyasa Flow practice as well as yoga teachers who want to take some time off teaching and focus on their own practice - it’s not an immersion for beginners. With that said we’ll make sure everyone’s met where they're at in their practice - always offering options and modifications.

We start each day with a two hour dynamic Vinyasa Flow practice, moving through the whole body. Each class will have a different theme/focus and apart from the flow also includes pranayama and meditation. Our classes are physically demanding - get ready to move, breathe and challenge yourself in a loving way! You’ll have the chance to “request” poses you’d like to work on during the week, in this way we co-create this immersion together!

In the afternoon we come together again for deep-stretching yin yoga, restorative yoga, pranayama and meditation. Throughout the immersion we’ll also offer two yoga workshops allowing us to go deeper into asanas, philosophy and have time for journaling and discussions.

The Food

All the meals served at this immersion will be vegetarian, prepared with lots of love and care. Expect healthy, wholesome and beautifully served food that will make your tastebuds dance! You’ll get to savour colourful and nourishing food based on what’s in season (organic where possible) in Sweden in July. For breakfast you can expect freshly squeezed juices, colourful smoothie bowls and overnight oats along with lots of yummy toppings!

The lunch is light and refreshing, usually a soup or salad, to be enjoyed somewhere outdoors, either alone or together with others. Dinners will be varied, abundant and flavourful dishes inspired by all our travels around the world.

About the venue & surroundings

Fiskabäck is a charming 17th century farmhouse situated in the beautiful area of Österlen, southeast of Sweden, about two hours drive from Malmö and 2,5 hours from Copenhagen. The house is located in the nature reserve Verkeån, surrounded by lush forests, farm land and is very close to the magical hills of Brösarps Backar.

As you’ll see for yourself, Mikael and Linnea who run Fiskabäck have put so much love into this place! They strive to keep the farmhouse and it’s surroundings really clean and in line with sustainable and clean living. The facilities offer a calm, quite simple atmosphere where the luxury is in the “non-luxury” - being close to nature and living with the quirks and rustic-ness of the old historic farm house.

At Fiskabäck it’ll be only us and nature - there’s only one neighbour and his cows!

There are three buildings; the main one with kitchen and bedrooms both up- and downstairs, a big barn with simple “barn” showers and an infrared sauna in one part, and a covered dining area in the other. The last building is a smaller house with a meditation room, bathroom and a shared shower.

There are several double/twin and triple rooms, as well as a huge spacious 7 people dormitory (the most charming dorm we’ve ever seen - no bunkbeds!) with each bed space separated with curtains. The beds at the farmhouse are softer Japanese “futons” on tatami mats (we’ve tried them out - super comfy!). Let us know what sleeping option you’d prefer - we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

Fiskabäck has a lot of land that stretches way beyond the houses. Here’s plenty of space both to be together and to be alone. The majestic forest with trails to run or walk is just nearby. Soak in the energy of the trees, listen to the sounds of nature and dip your toes (or more!!?) in the the little stream running through. There’s also a waterfall and a lake within walking distance.

Last but not least - in the garden you’ll find the awe-inspiring dome which is where we’ll have our yoga practices.

How to get here

Coming to Fiskabäck is like a journey itself - to leave the stress of the city behind and venture into the relaxing and energising woods and open landscape of Österlen. The farmhouse is literally “at the end of the road” on a private gravel road with only one way to get there!

If you have the chance we recommend that you bring your own car or get a rental one - so that you can explore the beautiful area of Österlen while you’re here for the week! Further info on how to get here by car can be found in the practical info sheet (click the button at the end of the page).

If you don’t have the chance to come with car you can take the bus from Malmö (via Ystad) arriving at Brösarp bus terminal. We’re happy to help out picking you up here, just let us know beforehand what time you’ll be arriving.

About Lisa & Nazareno

Lisa Andersson Rhodiner (Swe) and Nazareno Grisolia (URU) is a passionate yoga teacher duo known for their strong, creative and playful Vinyasa Flow classes. Based out of Ericeira, Portugal they offer international Vinyasa retreats and immersions for teachers longing to reconnect and deepen their practice.

“Sometimes you just know, or rather feel, that you are right where you need to be. When I arrived for a retreat with Naza and Lisa, this was my first thought. Until now, I’m very grateful to have met these two beautiful human beings. In my experience they do everything to make you feel comfortable and I was very touched by their kindness, authenticity, pureness and intention to offer their very best. They give you solid and creative Vinyasa and Yin yoga and delicious healthy food, but very steady in their own strength, they give you all that with love. I felt encouraged to explore and rediscover my possibilities, beyond injuries that I got along the road being a dancer. I felt secure in the safe environment that they create with their knowledge of adjusting and offering personal support.” - RIKA
