About the Event

We are excited to have the most amazing guest teacher Ramesh Narine visiting us.

Join Ramesh as he shares a series of workshops around the classical practices of Tantric Yoga. Incorporating Asana, Mantra, Pranayama, Meditation and Yoga Nidra, this program offers a broad perspective for teachers and students looking to deepen their practice.

24.8.2017 // 5.30-7.30 pm

1. The Untethered Obsticles:

Ganesha is an elephant deity popularly known for removing obstacles from your path. As the patron saint of travelers, he is also known for placing obstacles in your way, so that you may revision the path.

Your root chakra is the storehouse of a powerful energy known as Kundalini. When tension resides in the pelvis, it’s hard for that awareness to move. When this energy is free to flow, it travels through the spine to the third eye, transforming into Shakti.

This all levels class will focus upon freeing the hips, pelvis and thighs. Creating freedom at this level of the body unlocks a luxurious and fluid base for this power to ascend. Unwinding tension, this practice creates a more comfortable seat for meditation and the transformation of your raw potential into action.

25.8.2017 // 5.30-7.30pm

2. The Internal Bright:

Fire is the primordial construct of transformation. Within you there is an ever present flame. Each individual has access to this energy, but the tools to harness and collect it are not a part of your everyday practice.

Learn to touch this unwavering, eternal flame through the practice of asana, mantra, visualization, pranayama and meditation. Journey through the layers of the body to recognize your expansive capacity.

26.8.2017 // 5.30pm-7.30pm

3. The Sensual Garden:

The most common and necessary sense is often overlooked: balance.

Using the mechanisms of Taste, Touch, Sight, Smell and Sound, you will travel through a practice designed to restore your sense of exchange with the world around you. Balance amidst these sensory inputs. As they are stripped away, your immaculate self is what remains.

A physical practice built around poses that examine your relationship to the world around you, this class will end in the transformational practice of Yoga Nidra.

27.8.2017 // 5.30-7.30pm

4. Turn On The Bright Lights:

Breathing techniques have been used for centuries to train the mind and body towards health. The easiest way to manipulate Prana is through a retention of the breath.

If you seek greater energy, clearer focus or just desire to ground more, this class will provide you with simple mechanisms that can be used at any time to impact your higher health.

This class focuses on the practices of pranayama: learn to incorporate Nadi Shodhana, Kapalabhati, Viloma, Kumbaka, Bhramari, Shitali and Bandhas into your everyday container.
